Man what is it about this place that makes the wrecks so brutal 😭
Relatively long straights with tight, almost zero banked turns that leave you careening head on into the wall if your brakes fail, tire goes flat, or the throttle hangs.
Obviously the worst were Adam petty and Irwin.

Also didn't realize Ron Hornaday got shoved into the the wall there with the famous Benny Parsons "Ohh my goodness gracious" quote. I thought it was somewhere else for some reason.
And I always thought Eric McClure's crash was the closest anyone flipped there, didn't know Bobby Labonte actually finished a full flip there.

Yeah someone else definitely flipped there but it wasn’t NASCAR I’m pretty sure, and Kenny Irwin did go on his side but not a full flip (nevermind he did, don’t listen to me), and it was in practice with no footage, RIP

Even crazier was it was the same year petty and irwin died at NHMS and I think the same weekend as Irwin in almost identical crashes

Some big ones first one is insane
Setzer was darn close to being the 3rd driver to lose their life at New Hampshire in 2000.
There was the big one in 2008 I saw from turn 4 that got Matt Kenseth and a bunch of other people involved. I guess that one should be an honorable mention seeing it didn't make the video.
